21 Series Vacuum
Vacuum service valves are ideal for a wide range of applications, including lifting, holding, vacuum packaging, and moving both large objects and fine particles. They also serve as an effective solution for leak testing. In vacuum systems, the vacuum source generally comes from a vacuum pump or a venturi. Within these valves, the pressure is reduced below atmospheric pressure, allowing atmospheric pressure to push air into the valve instead of the common misconception that air is “sucked” in by the vacuum.
For full vacuum applications where compressed air is unavailable, full vacuum valves are an optimal choice. These valves leverage the force difference between atmospheric pressure and the vacuum within the valve to actuate, with atmospheric pressure at port 1 and vacuum levels ranging from 10 to 30 inches of mercury in the valve body.
